Martlets Tie Choate

The JV Girls Hockey team traveled to Choate for the first game back from vacation. Both teams played inspired hockey from start to finish. Westy tallied the first goal off the stick of Abigail Graham ('27). That set the stage for back-and-forth scoring right up until the final seconds when Choate evened it up at 4 - 4 to conclude the contest. Abbey Cirelli ('27) had netted the go-ahead goal just a minute prior creating a fan-focused finish with some white-knuckle action! Lily Vincent ('25) and Macey Sheehan ('27) were the other Martlet scorers. The full complement of athletes wearing the black and gold played an essential role in this well-played contest. Tilly Lynch ('25) was, again, outstanding in goal with 16 saves. The team competes in the first home game of the season on Saturday going against Williston Northampton.
