Martlets Tie Hotchkiss
The Martlets faced KUA in game 1 of the FM. KUA came into the game 7-1 just having beat St. Paul's on Wednesday 10-0. They were big, heavy, and skilled. KUA jumped out to an early lead just a few minutes into the first. They had the Martlets on their heels for the first half of the period but the Black and Gold steadied the ship and played a better half of the first period. Despite giving up two more goals in the second frame, the Martlets played a better 200 foot game and generated a few quality chances that the KUA netminder turned away. The Martlets, despite a valiant effort in the final period of play, fell to KUA 5-0.
