Martlets Fall to Berkshire

After a gritty battle for three quarters, Berkshire was able to pull away from the Martlets in the fourth quarter, and finish with a 50-32 victory. Led by Haley Cramer ‘24 and Lauren Neuman ‘25, the Martlets played tenacious defense and kept the Bears off balance throughout the first half. Eva Rodgers ‘25 hit a couple of timely jump shots and the score was tied 8-8 at the end of the first quarter. Both teams ran better offenses in the second quarter. Delia Lockwood ‘26 and Parker Perillo ‘26 provided valuable minutes for Westminster. Trailing 20-16 at the break, the Martlets got a well-deserved rest. The third quarter was a story of made shots and missed shots. Both teams had several good looks on offense. Berkshire was able to hit several long three-pointers while the lid was on the rim for the Martlets. Emme Pacheco-Hager ‘25 provided toughness on the inside throughout the game. Lilly Murphy ‘25 rebounded well and hit a key jumper. In the 4th quarter, Berkshire was able to pull away bit by bit. This game was much closer than the final score. The girls are back to work on Thursday and their home opener is on Saturday.
