Martlets Fall to Suffield

After a uniform upgrade and an enthusiastic warm up, the Martlets were ready to take on our opponents from Suffield. Unfortunately, our enthusiasm translated into overly aggressive defense and early foul trouble. Suffield reached the double bonus before the halfway mark in the first half and we were forced to play from behind for the second game in a row. With a renewed focus on defensive discipline and transition offense, we were able to close the gap in the second half. Our comeback was paced by strong play on both ends of the floor from Jake Andreski ’25 and Garrett Rohrbaugh ’27. Derrick Logan ’27 and Connor Gray ’26 also logged valuable minutes and each made crucial shots to close the gap. Unfortunately, our foul trouble came back to haunt us when Jake fouled out and we put Suffield back on the line for two free throws with 8 minutes left in the second half. These frequent trips to the foul line resulted in free points and slowed the pace of the game to the Tigers' benefit. While we were disappointed with the outcome of today’s game, we learned some valuable lessons and look forward to rebounding for Friday’s game against IMS!
