Martlets Defeat St. Luke's in a Scrimmage

The Varsity Boys’ Basketball season got off to a solid start with a win in a scrimmage against St. Luke’s. The Martlets excelled on the defensive side of the ball with Austin Black ‘24 and Jayden Reid ‘25 protecting the rim, earning 7 and 4 blocks respectively. Although we struggled in the first half offensively, the Martlets came out of half-time with energy while playing more settled transition and half-court offense. Jermaine James ‘24 and Chris Powell ‘26 led the offense with 12 and 14 points. Overall, a good first outing as we look to hone our skills for our upcoming games against Kingswood Oxford and Loomis.
