Martlets Compete at New Englands

The varsity boys cross country team concluded their season and raced the New England Championship 5k this past Saturday at the Roxbury Latin School near Boston.  Sam Hyde ('25) finished the season as the top Martlet runner in the race finishing in the top 30 runners.  Second and third were neck and neck until the last 200 meters, with James O'Connell ('25) edging out Tyler "TD" Daley ('24) in the final race of the year.  TD also was able to run his fastest time of the year!
Despite coach Mac's trash talk, Rhys Marschke ('24) was able to hold off Nicholas Ramsumair ('27) for the fourth fastest Martlet in the race, as both ran their fastest times of the year.  Next in was Matthew O'Connell ('25), followed by Adrien Dellaert ('25), who both also finished with personal best times on one of the more challenging courses of the year!
