Martlets Tie Berkshire

The game against the Berkshire School on the Martlet turf sounded like quite a challenging match for the JV girls. The Berkshire School's team seemed to be well-prepared and managed to score their first goal in the middle of the first half. Despite their best efforts, the Martlets couldn't break through the Berkshire School's capable defense. It wasn't until there were only 4 minutes left in the second half that Coach Court decided to call a timeout. During this timeout, he made a strategic change to the offense by removing some defensive players, to provide more offensive support. With 1:30 left on the clock,Stella Spitz (27) scored! Ultimately resulting in a tie game with a final score of 1-1. Tay Tay Leonard (26) had a standout performance, making an impressive 9 saves during the game, which must have been crucial in maintaining the tie. Martlets play their final game, home against Pomfret on Wednesday, November 8, 2023.
