Martlets Fall to Bearcats

Westminster School hosted the game, and our players exhibited great effort despite the challenging weather conditions. In the first half, the Martlets faced a tough challenge as Hotchkiss managed to score four goals. However, there were players who showed remarkable effort and determination. Connor Scollans '26 displayed great energy on the field, working hard to gain possession of the ball. Teddy Russell '26 and Mark Yang '26 also put in a strong effort, likely trying to help create scoring opportunities. Kimi Weng '24 was instrumental in launching attacks on the opponents, while Daniel Edwards '24 stood out as a strong defensive presence.

The second half saw a turnaround for the Martlets, as they had better possession on the field, improved passing, and more effective runs. Mason Abbate '24 was particularly noteworthy for his continuous efforts to move forward and chase the ball. He not only made impressive runs but also managed to score a goal for the Martlets, showing his commitment to the team's success. While the first half might not have gone as planned for the Martlets, the second half demonstrated their ability to adapt and improve their performance.
