Martlets Shutout Suffield

A week has passed since the JV girls' field hockey team had their last game. Their hard work and dedication paid off today when they faced off against the Suffield Academy Tigers. What made this match particularly exciting was the strong offensive ball handling and the quickened pace displayed on the field today. For the first half, both teams displayed great defensive skills, resulting in a tied score of 0-0. However, with just 15 minutes left in the game, the Martlets intensified their offensive efforts. It was then that Westminster's Paige Herlihy(25) showcased her skills, delivering a tremendous hit that drove the ball directly into the goal. This powerful and precise shot proved unstoppable for the Tigers' very skilled goalkeeper, and it broke the deadlock, sending a wave of excitement through the team and their supporters. The combination of solid offensive ball handling and the accelerated pace of the game must have made this victory even more satisfying for the Martlets. Martlets face Green Farms Academy on Saturday, 10/28/23 at home.
