Martlets Fall to AOF

Westminster jumped in the vans and made the short ride over to Miss Porters to play AOF. With all the rain the AOF grass field was under water so the teams had to use the neutral site for the match. Westminster was playing with a short bench again & knew they had to dig deep to keep up with the pace and skill of the AOF team. Midway through the first half AOF would jump out to a 2-0 lead. In the last few minutes of the half, Westminster would be awarded a free kick from 25 yards out. Abraham Monsee ‘25 would step up and crack one off the post which bounced out instead of in. Unfortunately for the Martlets, AOF would convert a goal late and take a 3-0 lead into halftime. The second half saw much of the same, some decent possession and build up by Westminster but the AOF speed and counter attack was too much. The team wrench would be passed on to Finn Hocking ‘26 for his gutty play in the middle of the field. Next up Loomis at home Wednesday.
