Martlets Fall to DA

The 3BS team had a tough game at Deerfield. The time away from the pitch, the commute north, difficulty finding the field, and a shortened warm-up all contributed to a slow and sluggish start. While the Green and White only had one sub, they were a well-skilled team that passed the ball well, communicated well, and converted their opportunities. Deerfield scored three times early in the game (including a penalty kick after a handball in our box) and left us trailing significantly just 15 minutes into the game. Jake Pleau ‘26 finally broke through for the Martlets with a nice rush through several defenders before finding the back of the net. While we had great enthusiasm and encouragement during halftime and from players on the bench, we were unable to turn that positive energy into goals…instead Deerfield again put up another three goals (including another PK from another handball) in the first 20 minutes of the second half. We look forward to rebounding against AOF on Saturday.
