Martlets Fall to AOF

The (again) short-handed boys cross country team raced a local meet at the Avon Old Farms and lost against AOF on their new cross country course.  Despite the loss, they performed better than they did against AOF at the invitational earlier in the season!  James O'Connell ('25) and Sam Hyde ('25) again finished as the top Martlets, eighth and ninth overall, respectively.  Nicholas Ramsumair ('27) continued his progression as a runner, finishing 15th overall and again was the top performing third former.  Right behind him in 16th was Rhys Marschke ('24), who was one of the few runners - along with Adrien Dellaert ('25) - to run the second half of the race faster than the first half (negative split!).  Matt O'Connell ('25) and Jeff Shao ('26) showed grit despite injuries during the week, and rounded out the group of Westy boys in 26th and 27th places.
