Westminster Shuts out Hotchkiss

The good weather conditions made this game a pleasant one. The game started with possession on the Martlet's side. Six minutes into the first half, Jaelyn Kang '27 scored the first goal, putting Westminster on the lead. The Martlets kept pressing, attempting to score repeatedly, but with no luck. Then, at minute 22, Abbey Cirelli '27 dribbled the ball from the midfield to the goal, scoring the second goal of the game. As the players got tired, Hotchkiss started gaining possession of the ball but defense Sarah Rocchio '24 and goalie Mei Yin Ren '25 did not let the opponent score. The second half went smoothly, with striker Schuyler Groves '26 bringing many balls close to the goal, until finally scoring about halfway through the second half. The Martlets scored again twice, Piper Lundin '26 and Eliza Cabot '24 were responsible for those two goals. This was a pleasant game against Hotchkiss, where despite having the lead, the Martlets still had to work hard to have an organized game, completing passes successfully and playing cohesively.
