Martlets Shutout Bement

First Win for the Martlets! The team's morale received a tremendous boost, knowing that all the hours of dedicated practice had paid off. Harriet Leventhal ’26 showcased remarkable skills as our goalkeeper, steadfastly defending the goal and not a single ball slipped past her. Our defense was notably fortified by the swift and effective teamwork of Clair Dowling ’27 and Abigail Graham ’27, who consistently propelled the ball up the field for our forwards.

The first goal materialized a mere two seconds into the game, courtesy of Parker Perillo ’26 who executed a surprise attack with precision and speed, leaving the opposition with no time to react. The second goal occurred during an offensive corner, as Hope Fooshee ’27 delivered a beautifully straight pass to Parker, who promptly relayed it to Lila Smith ’25, resulting in another score. The three of them operated in perfect harmony, concluding the corner play in less than a second. A great victory for the team!

During the second half of the game, we maintained our defensive stronghold, ensuring that the opposing team never came close to our side of the field.
