Martlets Race K-O and Williston
Westminster Cross Country had a make-up exhibition on Wednesday against WIlliston as well as a race on Saturday this past week at the West Hartford Reservoir against KO and Williston. Treating Wednesday like a workout, the boys had a phenomenal race on Saturday. Although they lost to both teams, three of our runners - Daniel Frid '27, James O'Connell '25, and Sam Hyde '25 - were able to score points against the top 5 runners from Kingswood Oxford - who earlier in the season placed five runners ahead of our entire team. This is a huge improvement! James led the team again this week as the top finisher, and Daniel Frid showed unprecedented improvement, finishing as the third fastest Martlet. On top of that, the cross country team had season-best times from: James O’Connell ’25, Rhys Marschke ’24, Luke Rodrigues ’27, Jeff Shao ’26, Daniel Frid ’27, Nicholas Ramsumair ’27, and Matt O’Connell ‘25.
