Martlets Fall to K-O and Williston
The weather held strong for the Girls' Cross-Country team this Saturday against Williston and K.O. This day provided some wonderful races for the girls’, who were still slightly tired after some tough racing on Wednesday. They showed great heart in their second competition of the week. Sophia Lazor ‘27 placed second in the invitational in a time of 21:49. Sophie Grace Stevenson ’25 followed behind her in a time of 24:28, claiming 7th place for the Martlets. Stevenson was followed by Madison Khuu ‘24 who scored 8th place in a time of 24:43, a personal best time for the season. Anna Klapman, who scored 10th in a time of 25:15 also ran a personal best time for the season.
Other finishers for the Martlets were, Elise Park ‘25 (27:15 - a best time for the season by three minutes), Carolyn Cheng ‘24 (28:20 - a best time for the season), Grace Tyler ‘24 (29:54 - a best time for the season by 4 minutes), and Grace Li ‘26 (31:02 - a best time for the season).
Overall, the girls’ team accomplished six season best times. The Girls’ displayed their usual sense of team spirit and camaraderie, along with fantastic sportsmanship. A fantastic meet for all!
