Martlets Tie Rhinos

The team achieved our first goal of the season! We entered the game with high spirits, aware that our opponent was closer to our skill level. In the opening quarter, Abigail Graham ’27 initiated the scoring with a precise hit during a corner, and Parker Perillo ’26 promptly capitalized on it by pushing the ball into the goal. Throughout the game, Claire Dowling ’27 anchored a reliable defensive line, enabling our midfielders, Gabriela de la Fe ’26 and Reagan Riley ’27, to regain possession and advance the ball upfield. As the game progressed, injuries began to accumulate, and the temperature was slowing everyone down. Despite these challenges, everyone gave their all to prevent another point loss. In the final moments, with the opposing team on an offensive corner, Virginia Whiting ’26 made a crucial play, clearing the ball out of the circle and securing our well-deserved tie.
