Martlets Compete at Canterbury

The Westminster Boys Cross Country team had the 50th running of the Canterbury Invitation this past Saturday at Loomis Chaffee with over 200 different runners across 4 divisions competing.  The boys were locked in the most challenging of the four heats, with a course record being set in 16:04 during the race.  ALL SIX finishers for Westminster ran personal bests for the 3.11 mile race, despite wet and hilly conditions!  James O'Connell overtook Sam Hyde from last week as top Martlet in a blazing time of 19:36.  James was followed closely by Sam who overcame some difficult race terrain and footing to finish in 40th place overall.  Rhys Marschke locked into third place on the team, followed by Daniel Frid, Nick Ramsumair, and Matt O'Connell.
