Martlets Fall to DA

The Westminster boys took to the pool again on a rainy Saturday afternoon in Andover, for the first of two games. The Martlets fell to the Deerfield team 13-5. Deerfield came out strong in the first quarter, testing the net of Martlet keeper Wills Erda ’24, who managed to get a hand on more than one of their shots. With some refocusing after the initial quarter, Westminster fought back to keep the game within 5. Owen Huang ’24 scored two of the Martlet goals, before the fourth quarter, when the team held Deerfield to 1 point. The second half provided a number of encouraging signs that the team hoped to carry into their second game of the day against Andover.
