Martlets Compete at Loomis Time Trial

The Westminster Boys Cross Country team had their first informal time trial this past Friday at Loomis Chaffee with over 100 different runners from 8 teams competing.  Only two returning runners on our team have ever run a meet for Westminster, so there were a bunch of personal bests!  Sam Hyde was 19th place overall in 20:04 followed by captain James O'Connell right behind in 20th place in a time of 20:12. In his first cross country race effort ever, Tyler Daley finished in 42nd place in 22:46.  Adrien Dellaert (23:39) and Daniel Frid (23:58) finished in 50th and 53rd place respectively in their first ever high school races.  captain Rhys Marschke followed next in 24:46. Rounding out the team were Nick Ramsumair in 25:31, Matt O'Connell in 25:36, and Jeff Shao in 28:30 who easily had the best sprint of the entire meet.
