Martlets Fall on the Road

Our first game of the season against the Suffield Tigers was a game of silver linings. Although our offense struggled to generate points, our defense at the half-court was quite good. Suffield scored most of their points on fast breaks, not the half-court. Nick Lopriore '26, in particular, played excellent defense. On the offensive side of the ball, the Martlets struggled initially but saw significant improvement over the course of the game, doubling our output in the second half. Aidan O'Callaghan '26 scored six off good jumpers and floaters, Logan Sun '24 scored four on nice dribble drives, and Mike Basich '26 scored five with our only three-point shot of the day. The game did not go our way, but the team did not give up and won the second half.
