Martlets Defeat Gunn

Another perfect afternoon for soccer on Wilbraham Field. The home side got on the board fairly quickly when Alex Adou ‘22 tipped in a ball from Lawrence Taylor ‘23. Fredrick Gunn would respond quickly picking off a ball deep in the Westminster end and converting to tie the score up. Westminster would then put three consecutive goals on the scoreboard to go into halftime up 4-1. The start of the second half would see more of the same with Westminster scoring in the 47th and 61st min. Things got very interesting with some reserves on the field with Gunn putting three goals in the net in just seven minutes. Ultimately the game got back in control as some starters returned to the field. Parker Sinclair ‘23 had more of a busy day coming off his line and clearing out long balls from Gunn, he finished the day with three saves, one of which was high quality. The game ball would go to Taylor who finished the day with six points. Huge day on the field for his hard work and positive attitude, the team wrench would be passed to Jackson Raymond ‘24. The Martlets are back at it at home Wednesday against Choate.

Scoring:
Lawrence Taylor: 3 goals, 3 assists
Alex Adou: 1 goal
Abraham Monsee: 1 goal, 1 assists
Mason Clarke: 1 goal
