Martlets Fall on the Road

The Martlets traveled out to Falls Village on a beautiful afternoon with a different combination of players for the second contest of the season against Hotchkiss. This time, the Martlets won two of the matches at the bottom of both the singles and doubles ladder. Playing #5 singles, Elle Kozusko ‘25 swept her opponent, and at #3 doubles Mia Lee ‘24 and Jennifer Yang ‘25 played well together, as they have learned to communicate well (win 8-2). Many of the other matches, while losses, were more closely contested that the score might indicate. Every Westminter player had some great shots, and overall each one came back after a slow start to make every match competitive. Playing today was Tessa Sorenson ‘24 at #1 singles (4-8), Hannah Small ‘25 at #2 singles (2-8), Delfina Fraiberger ‘25 at #3 singles (3-8), and Aniela Apteker ‘24 rounding out the singles at #4 (5-8). Also on deck for the Martlets were the doubles teams of Tarapi Pyo ‘24 and Kaitlin Koch ‘24 at #2 (6-8) and Elizabeth Pruellage ‘24 and Sarah Rocchio ‘24 at #3 (4-8). The team looks forward to a home match on Saturday against Choate.
