Third Boys’ Basketball Shifts Things Up in Sheffield

Third Boys’ Basketball played Berkshire’s Thirds team up in Sheffield. The team got off to a good start with a 3-pointer to open the first half, a sneak peek at things to come. With the Bears playing a tight defense, more than half of the Martlets points came off 3-pointers, including two from Chris Paolella ’23 and two from Mike Yang ’23. Trailing at the half, the team decided to begin the second half with a defensive formation it hadn’t practiced before, and used it for the remainder of the game. Lawrence Taylor ’23 brought the heat with this new formation and helped the team hold off the Berkshire offense in situations the Bears had taken advantage of during the first half. The game concluded as a 23-49 loss for Westminster.
