Westminster Thirds Seals Its Second Consecutive W

Third Boys’ Lacrosse headed out to Taft to face off against a short-handed Taft squad. After a bit of a lackadaisical first quarter, the offense exploded in the second. With two man-up goals from Tarek Mourad '19 and Hunter Hoogkamp '21 and a perfect play ride that resulted in an open net goal from Hunter Johnson '21, the Martlets pulled into halftime up 4-1. A quick goal in the third followed a series of man-down situations that forced the team to limp to the finish line, victorious nevertheless. Alex Tonioni '22 and Nate Swift '19 dominated the faceoff X, and Juan Jo Garibay '20 put in another solid day in goal, recording five saves on the day and leading a Westminster defense that cleared the ball well all game long. The game ball went to Beck Winsor '21 for his stalwart defensive play and groundball work.

Scoring:
Hoogkamp: 2
Mourad: 1
Johnson: 1
Tonioni: 1
