Overmatched

The Martlets squared off on Saturday afternoon against a skilled and deep Choate squad. Everyone except for Alex Unruh '22 at No. 1 lost in straight games, but the other Martlets played hard. They were simply overmatched. Unruh split his first two games and then lost a heartbreaker in game three, 11-13. He rebounded in the fourth game (11-7) to force a deciding fifth game. But his opponent, a talented senior playing his last home match for Choate, controlled the final game, winning 11-4. Nevertheless, Unruh played a lot of good squash and he gets the "nail" for this match.
