Martlets Show Improvement Despite Second Loss in a Row

In its second game in as many days, Second Boys' Basketball lost to a formidable Kingswood Oxford team. The Martlets trailed 11-0 to open the game as the Wyverns hit some early three-pointers; however, Westminster's refocused, defensive effort allowed it to chip away at the visitor's lead, eventually coming within four points in the second half. Despite those opening minutes, the game was rather evenly matched. Teddy Schellbach '20 pulled eight rebounds while Eddie Lie-A-Cheong '19 led all scorers with 13 points for the home team, which was still plagued with too many unforced turnovers. The team will certainly regroup on Monday; it'll work on its weak spots while reinforcing its strengths for its first away trip to Trinity-Pawling on Wednesday.
