Martlets Pull Off Final Win

With the hype of New Englands behind them and two days off from practice due to the spring formal and the weather, the Martlets didn't play their best tennis of the season but got the team win nonetheless. The Black and Gold earned fairly easy wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles and then also did well in the middle of the singles ladder winning at No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5. Lauren Way '20 played as reliably as she has all season looking strong with her 8-1 victory. Ellie Suit '20 held off a resurging Bear to get her 8-3 win. And Maggie Chaves '19 clinched the win also by an 8-3 margin. The Martlets have had a fantastic season, thanks in large part to the leadership of Sixth Form captains Mary Kille and Nat Wilson. These girls will surely be missed but with most of the team returning for 2019, there is much excitement for the future.
