AP Biology Classes Visit Hartford Hospital Training Facility

AP Biology classes returned to the Center for Education, Simulation and Innovation at Hartford Hospital April 20. During their three-hour visit at the preeminent medical training facility, the students were able to practice their CPR skills, learn about bleeding management, use a state-of-the-art laparoscopic surgery training robot and practice delivering a baby using a high-tech mannequin. The group applied what they had learned during a recent human anatomy and physiology unit, and experienced a taste of the medical profession.
