Rebecca Lobo to Moderate Alumni Athletics Forum

Six Westminster graduates who have achieved success at the highest levels in their sports, including the NFL, the NHL and other top-tier levels of competition, will participate in an alumni athletics forum titled “21st-Century Athletes: Does Character Count?” on May 7 at the school. The forum is part of Westminster’s yearlong 125th anniversary celebration.

The panelists will include Rebecca Brooks ’96, Kara Brown ’96, Doug Knight ’93, Jeff Natale ’01, Brian Sanford ’06 and Tommy Cross '08. The athletes will tell their personal stories, the keys to their success and what it takes to “make it big” in sports. Rebecca Lobo, a former Olympian, WNBA player and legendary UConn basketball star who currently serves as an analyst and commentator for ESPN, will moderate the program.

The athletics forum is free and open to the public and will begin at 7 p.m. in the Werner Centennial Center. Those planning to attend should R.S.V.P. to Becky McGuire at bmcguire@westminster-school.org or call (860) 408-3052.

Ample parking will be available adjacent to the school’s Armour Academic Center.
