Parents and Family Weekend Awards Ceremony and Performing Arts Concert

Students were recognized for their spring 2016 academic achievements at an awards ceremony Oct. 22 that took place during Parents and Family Weekend. In between award presentations, the Concert Band, Jazz Band, Tower Room Quintet, Dance Ensemble, Chamber Choir and Chorale gave performances.

Headmaster Bill Philip welcomed parents, family members and friends to campus and explained that the spring awards were held until this weekend, so that students could be recognized with their family members present. “Parents and Family Weekend is one of the most exciting moments in the school year,” he said. “This fall’s schedule has been packed will all sorts of special events.” He then shared information about fall enrollment, enrichment activities on and off campus, the student art exhibit and Grandparents Day.
