What brought you to Westminster?
I came to Westminster from the Darrow School in New York, where I worked for three years. My advisees graduated, and I wanted a new experience. Westminster seemed like the perfect fit.
What is it about math that you love?
I’ve always loved math! I love problem solving, and in math there are so many ways to solve a problem, but if you use logic to follow it all the way through you can always find a concrete answer. I also like the look on people’s faces when I tell them I teach high school math…
What’s the best thing you did this summer?
I traveled to Europe for three weeks this summer with my best friend. I never got to study abroad, so this was my first trip to Europe. We went to Iceland, Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague, Vienna and Munich – I’m sure it’ll be the best thing I’ve done for many summers to come!

What is something that you’re really into right now?
This is going to sound really nerdy, but when I was in Europe I read the entire Vampire Academy series. I loved it so much I’m going to read it again.
What are you most looking forward to this school year?
The community here at Westminster. I’ve heard so much about how close-knit it is, and I’m looking forward to being part of that. Also, meeting and getting to know the students, both in the classroom and as a coach.
