Winter Term Awards Ceremony

At the winter term awards ceremony held March 27, Headmaster Bill Philip welcomed members of the Westminster community to the start of the spring term. He began by asking Duane Stagg, Robert Locke, Jeff Brignano and Bill Babbitt and their teams members to come on stage and thanked them for “working so tirelessly through the winter season” on snow removal.

He then highlighted student, faculty and staff achievements and initiatives across a broad spectrum of community programs including those related to WCLP, academics, athletics, community service, the performing and visual arts, student council, chapel, Model United Nations, student organizations and the Work Program.

“Stories about the intersection between the different elements of our school’s program abound,” he said. “In fact, these moments of intersection highlight the magical quality of our school community. What happens in the classroom connects with what happens in the chapel, in athletics, in community service and in the arts. Experiences in one venue shape experiences in other venues and enrich what it means to be a student at Westminster and explains why it is so gratifying to teach here.”

He ended by congratulating everyone on a “terrific winter term.”
