Parents Weekend Concert and Awards Ceremony

Students were recognized for their spring 2013 academic achievements in a variety of areas during a Parents Weekend concert and awards ceremony Oct. 26. Headmaster Bill Philip welcomed parents and friends to the event in the Werner Centennial Center, saying, “I hope all of you cherish this opportunity to spend a weekend on campus together with your children.” He explained how the awards are held until Parents Weekend so that “students can be recognized, as they deserve, with their families present.” He then talked about recent campus events, including the closing celebration of the school’s 125th anniversary, the dedication of Baxter Lawn, Gund House and Squibb House, Grandparents Day, Community Service Day, the Westminster Teaching Symposium and the culture draw.
