For their second game of the season against Deerfield, the Martlets came out in the first half applying a ton of pressure and punishing the Big Green with a barrage of shots. The Black and Gold hustled all over the field, winning the ball in the air and were first to it on the ground. The defense was also solid, tight and patient. Deerfield managed to score a goal in the second, but the Martlets held on for the win thanks to Rachel Monroe '14 who had 10 saves and kept the Martlets in the lead.

Second Girls’ Soccer

Brackett earned her second assist of the game feeding Emma Merlin ’16 who made a great run to the 18 and shot a bullet through the defense and into the back of the net. McKennaBurelle '17 netted her second goal of the season and then followed up her goal with a perfect assist to Annie Mayer '15 who lofted her shot from a distance of over 25 yards over the goalie's head.
