Singer Carrie Johnson to Give Westminster Performance

Singer and songwriter Carrie Johnson will be the featured performer on Friday, Jan. 18, as a part of Westminster School’s “Friday Nights in Gund,” a series of free public concerts, readings and lectures held at Westminster during the academic year.

The student performers will be Westminster Sixth Former Jack Rubino and a friend of his from another school, and the Westminster faculty performer will be Grant Gritzmacher.

Johnson’s music crosses several genres including pop, rock and country but always with her signature style – strong vocals, memorable melodies, storytelling lyrics and dynamic rhythm guitar playing. She performs regularly in the New England area and is currently in the process of recording four new songs.

The Westminster School performance will begin at 7 p.m. in the Gund Reading Room of the Armour Academic Center. Refreshments will be served after the concert and ample parking will be available in the parking lot adjacent to the Armour Academic Center.
