Parents Weekend Concert and Awards Ceremony

Student academic and performing arts achievements were recognized at a concert and awards ceremony Oct. 20 during Parents Weekend. Headmaster Bill Philip welcomed parents to the event in the Werner Centennial Center, telling them that Parents’ Weekend is always an exciting part of the school year. “I hope you cherish the opportunity to spend the weekend on campus with your children,” he said. He then explained that achievements from last spring are recognized in the fall so that parents can be present. He also talked about the “extraordinary” start of the school’s 125th anniversary year, including the new Hovey Field, Community Service Day and the recent Culture Draw.

The Dance Ensemble, Band, Jazz Band, Chamber Choir, Chorale and the Rising Sons gave performances between announcements of the following academic achievements.
