Third Former Works Equestrian Competition into Busy Schedule

Throughout the winter, Thiele Schroeder ’14 commuted to Wellington, Fla., to compete in the Winter Equestrian Festival. She was able to compete in seven of the 12 weekends and achieved impressive results. She was weekend champion two weekends and reserve champion one weekend on her horse Mr. Cash van der Veldenmolen, (Cash), in the Children’s Jumper 14-17 division and had multiple ribbons throughout the circuit on her other three jumpers in that division and an equitation horse. She also was honored with Circuit Champion, which is an accumulation of all points earned on Cash. This accomplishment recognized her consistency in high-level riding for the season. Thiele rides with four trainers, including her main trainer, Leslie Howard, a two-time Olympian. Thiele has continued to train throughout the spring and has moved up to the Low Junior division.
