First Boys’ Hockey
The Martlets played in two very close games last week. Against Hotchkiss, Westminster needed extra time to pull out the 5-4 win. With the goalie pulled, Luke Laskiewicz ’11 was able to tie the game, and Chris Izmirlian ’12 scored the winning goal in overtime. Nick Finn ’12 also had two goals in the win. The week concluded with another exciting game, this time at Rentschler Field in East Hartford, where the Martlets took on Choate outside. In was an exciting event for the entire Westminster community. After again getting down to the Wild Boars, the Martlets fought their way back to tie the game in the third period, and then Finn scored the go-ahead goal on a breakaway with one minute remaining in the game.
