Students to Participate in Northern Region Music Festival

All six Westminster students who auditioned at Avon High School on Nov. 14 for the Northern Region Music Festival, run by the Connecticut Music Educators Association, have been invited to participate. The festival will take place at New Britain High School on Jan. 14 and 15. The students include Brendan Sullivan ’11, French horn; Sam Boures ’12, soprano, Brooke Brazer ’12, soprano; Lauren Darnis ’12, soprano; Hannah Ford ’11, alto; and Randy Doyle ’12, tenor.

The students also qualified to audition in January for the All-State Festival, which will be held at the Hartford Convention Center in April. Lauren Darnis and Randy Doyle were in the All-State ensembles last year.
