Marlets Number 2 Seed in Tournament

With an impressive 17-3-1 record, First Girls Hockey landed the number 2 seed in the Division I New England Tournament. The Martlets secured the Founders’ League title last week and now will face Choate, the number 7 seed, at home on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m.

Having appeared in the tournament for the last three years, this is Westminster’s highest seed to date. The team earned the position due to big wins over Nobles, last year’s New England Champion; Andover; Loomis; Berkshire; and Deerfield. The Martlets also had a 3-1 victory against Choate. The entire tournament bracket is listed below:

1. Nobles and Greenough    vs. 8. Phillips Exeter

2. Westminster School    vs. 7. Choate

3. Lawrence             vs. 6. Tabor

4. Brewster            vs. 5. Loomis Chaffee
