Annual MS Walk A Success

Despite the threat of rain, hundreds of people turned out for the annual MS Walk in Simsbury on May 4. The walk, which has been hosted by Westminster School for the past eight years, started at the school’s Jackson Hockey Rink and continued into downtown Simsbury and back.

Westminster faculty, staff and students once again volunteered to help out with the day’s set-up, operations and clean-up.

The walk kicked off with Westminster School senior Shelby Brown singing the national anthem and Deputy First Selectman John Hampton, Westminster Headmaster Graham Cole, Liz Berman and Len Berman cutting a ribbon. Participants had rest and water stops available to them on the route and lunch waiting back at the Jackson Hockey Rink on their return.
