Westminster Welcomes the MS Walk May 4
For the eighth year in a row, Westminster School will host the MS Walk, Sunday, May 4, beginning at 9 a.m. at the Jackson Hockey Rink. In past years, there have been as many as 1,000 participants who have completed the walk into downtown Simsbury and back.
Westminster faculty, staff and students will once again volunteer to help out with the day’s set-up, operations and clean-up. Many also will be walking in the event with members of the community. Last year, the walk raised approximately $60,000, including about $5,000 raised by Westminster students.
Anyone interested in participating in the walk may register online at http://walkctn.nationalmssociety.org/site/TR/Walk/CTNWalkEvents?pg=entry&fr_id=8447 or show up at the rink Sunday morning by 8:30 a.m.
