Character Dress-Up Day Supports a Worthy Cause

Characters from literature, history, science and the arts were everywhere on the Westminster campus Feb. 22 as faculty, students and staff dressed in costume to celebrate Library Character Dress-Up Day and raise money for a worthy cause.

The money that was raised by the approximately 170 people who participated in this third annual event will be sent to Room to Read, an organization that partners with local communities throughout the developing world to establish schools, libraries and other infrastructure.

Student members of the Library TAG (Teen Advisory Group) coordinated most of the planning for the day, including making posters and announcements, collecting donations and organizing voting for the best costume.
