Parents' Weekend 2007

All parents of current students are invited to attend Westminster’s annual Parents’ Weekend, Oct. 25-27, 2007. Parents may register for Parents’ Weekend online via the link to the right or by using the return card sent in the mail with the weekend’s formal invitation.

When arriving on campus, parents should proceed directly to the Hinman Reading Room in Cushing Hall for registration. From the schedule below, please note the availability of day-parent conferences on Thursday evening, Oct. 25. On both Friday and Saturday, large portions of the day will be devoted to 10-minute conferences with classroom teachers.

Students have been asked to schedule their parents’ conferences in advance of the weekend. Students should be informing parents ahead of time when and where these appointments will take place. (Students will be prompted at school about this responsibility, but it helps if parents also remind them.)

On Friday afternoon, four faculty families are opening their homes to provide parents an opportunity to meet one another and enjoy refreshments.

Following the weekend break, boarding parents should have students back on campus no later than 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 30. The fall term and classes resume at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 31.
