First Annual “One-Year-Out Cookout” a Success
While members of the Class of 2007 and their families headed off campus for dinner at the conclusion of the Awards Ceremony on the Saturday night of Commencement Weekend, members of the Class of 2006 gathered at the greenway adjacent to the football field for a reunion of their own. Click here. Thirty-seven alumni and a handful of faculty enjoyed one another’s company and the good food of Kane’s Market at a picnic prior to the Lawn Ceremony. While many members of the Class of 2006 had stayed in touch over the past year via cell phone, Facebook.com, and e-mail, this was the first time many had seen one another since their graduation. They readily exchanged hugs and telephone numbers, and shared stories of their first year as undergraduates.
