Eco Fest a Success

DS
Westminster’s first ever EcoFest held April 21 for the entire campus community was a great success. The evening event included a barbecue with free range chicken and local organic vegetables, face painting, tie-dying, a guest environmental advocate who shared various materials, movies highlighting environmental issues, fire pits on the quad for roasting marshmallows, guest drummers and light-up bocce ball games. A group of students, faculty and staff organized the activities.

The campus is gearing up to join other independent schools next year in the Green Cup Challenge, a campus-wide energy conservation competition designed to raise awareness about energy consumption.
