First Girls Hockey Falls to Choate in Intense First Round Play

Peter Newman
In an intense first round match-up of two powerhouse teams, First Girls' Hockey outshot Choate 26-16, but Choate made better on their chances earning a 5-2 win in front of a large, enthusiastic crowd at Jackson Rink.  The Martlets had gotten the better of Choate earlier in the season but came up short on this day.  Westminster finishes the season with a 16-4-2 record, the best in the history of the program, and they set themselves up for the possibility of their first ever Founders League Hockey title.  It would be nice to hang another banner in the rink, a banner that these girls certainly have earned.
