1st Annual Founders' League Hockey Jamboree
Westminster First Boys' Hockey went to Taft on January 3 joining other Founders League Hockey teams in the first annual Founders League Hockey Jamboree. The intent of the "round robin" competition was to jump start the new year with powerful competition in a format that would "get the players' legs back" and provide college coaches with a chance to see more of the best in independent school hockey. The day was a tremendous success, with as many as 60 college coaches in attendance, as each team enjoyed spirited, high caliber competition and a strengthened league camaraderie. Already, given this day's success, league athletic directors are planning similar playdays in other sports.
