Two Candlelight Services Planned for December 13, 2006, in Andrews Memorial Chapel
Due to the popularity of the Candlelight Service and the desire to share this poignant and festive gathering with the entire Westminster community, two services will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2006. The first service at 5:00 p.m. is for Third and Fourth Form students, their families and guests. The 8:00 p.m. service will be for Fifth and Sixth Form students, their families and guests. Alumni and friends of the school are also welcome to attend.
This year's services will include 76 students of the Chorale, 14 "Belles" - the all-girl chorus, and a performance by the student a capella group "Octappella." In addition, there will be the traditional "Service of Lessons" led by faculty and student readers, carols and hymns, and the dramatic closing "Service of the Lights."
Preludes, soloists and student groups, starting at 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., will precede the start of each service.
